Drawing with Light

Hi! My name is Mano and I am an amateur photographer. Besides the many other things in life that occupies my time, these last two years I have been drawn towards drawing, that is with light. I love taking pictures as it freezes a moment in the space time continuum. It is subjective, open to interpretation, it captures the very essence of life, the unspoken words.

I’ve never been to a photography class; books, websites and chris orwig have been my mentors. I don’t have a degree in art, in fact I failed many of them during my school days. But I believe there’s a little bit of art in all of us. Enjoy the pictures that are included in this site as I undertake the journey of growth and fascination; in drawing with light.

This is the image of Mt. Bromo in early morning during sunrise. Don’t be fooled by the enchanting beauty as this volcano just erupted earlier this year spewing ashes and molten rocks. I had the chance to hike up its slope to the top battling thick ashes along the way. The crater had a huge hole to nowhere. Majestic and scary at the same time, I can only imagine how it must have felt being around here during the eruption. Simply amazing, I look forward to going there again one of these days.
